The Notice of Race for the 2016 Women’s Match Racing World Championship has been released.

Set to be held in Sheboygan, USA from 20-25 September, the 2016 edition of the Women’s Match Race Worlds will welcome the world’s finest female match racers as they fight for the title.

Organised by Sail Sheboygan and SEAS (Sailing Education Association of Sheboygan) at the Sheboygan Yacht Club in conjunction with World Sailing, up to 16 skippers will battle it out in the fleet of Elliott 6m boats used in the 2012 London Olympics with three or four crew.

As defending champion, Denmark’s Lotte Meldgaard Pedersen receives an automatic invitation. Fourteen further invitations will be issued based on the 18 May 2016 World Sailing Women’s Match Racing Ranking release. The final spot will be awarded to a wildcard as agreed by US Sailing and World Sailing.
