Anne Marit has mostly participated in local match races on her home waters of the Royal Norwegian Yacht Club in capital Oslo. She is 52 years old and, unlike most of the other match racers, she didn’t do her regatta debut until the age of 20, and then as crew in keelboats’ fleet racing. In 2000 Anne Marit started with match racing in a mixed crew, and from 2009 she’s been helming her own all female crew. She’s working as Safety and Sustainability Manager of Statoil, with offshore energy windmills as her speciality.
