Skipper - Laurane Mettraux – SUI

After sailing with the team of Alexa Bezel for 4 years as bow, Laurane Mettraux was looking for a new challenge, so she started her own team. She continued to sail a lot on different boats and then in 2016 did her first match race as a skipper. She has not done a lot of events but really enjoys it. Laurane finished my studies in September (nutritionist) and now is working for the Geneva training center (Centre d’Entraînement à la Régate) as a boat captain. With the training center our main goal is the Tour de France Voile on Diam24, where we had a very good result this year! As Laurane is making her WIM Series debut as skipper in Switzerland, she will be joined by her sister, “Elo” as trimmer, and a strong team of experienced sailors. Their goal is just to sail well and to improve and maybe to motivate some Swiss girls to sail more match racing! And then maybe to be more involve next year in match racing women’s events!
